Open Communication Builds Mutual Trust.
Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA) developed this site to inform you of the facts about the UAW, as you certainly will not receive this information from the UAW. SIA believes it is important to keep Associates factually informed .
This site is also intended to provide you with SIA’s point of view regarding unionization. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision about whether joining a union is truly the right choice for you and your family and to ensure you have all the facts.
For over 35 years, we have always been mindful of the fact that Associates are our most important asset. Our commitment is reflected in the way Associates enjoy development and training opportunities, fair treatment, competitive compensation and benefits, and a workplace that fosters honest and direct communication. SIA intends to keep moving in the right direction, and because of this commitment, not a single Associate currently pays dues to a union for representation regarding the terms and conditions of their employment at SIA.
SIA strongly believes that joining the union is not in your best interest. But that decision is yours to make, not SIA’s. Your decision will affect all Associates, so carefully consider all the facts before choosing.
For questions about this site, SIA’s values or benefits, or our ongoing commitment to making SIA the best possible place for all of us to work, please speak with your Group Leader, your Manager, or any Associate Relations Representative.
SIA’s Associate concept is based on trust in the individual and recognizes our commitment to ensure a positive working environment. By joining together as a team, we can best accomplish our mutual goals—assuring the success of the Company and providing greater opportunities and job security for Associates and their families. We do not believe that a third party, such as a union, is necessary at SIA.
